June Seminar Announcement

We are pleased to announce that Todo Kai will be hosting the 2026 annual World MJER Iaido Federation North American Seminar in Nanaimo June 5th, 6th, and 7th .

Classes throughout the weekend, and the shodan shinza, will be presided over by Uchizono sensei and Masumura sensei, with assistance from Tanaguchi sensei and Sato sensei.

Todo Kai is overjoyed to have such a wealth of experience available to learn from during this event and we hope to share that knowledge widely within Canada and abroad.

Classes begin Friday evening at 7:00 for two hours, to get the blood pumping and start the seminar off on the right track.

We resume Saturday morning for a two and a half hour session with lunch immediately after. The third session on Saturday afternoon is extra long (13:30 to 16:30), with time set aside specifically for senior students to work on advanced waza. After practice a seminar dinner will be held at "Off the Hook -Surf Turf and Smokery", a local restaurant which boasts a completely gluten free menu.

We return to practice Sunday morning for an hour of free practice, followed by formal Enbu with lunch immediately after. Finally, Sunday afternoon will host the Shodan Shinza, certificate presentations, and closing ceremonies. Pricing for this event is flexible with a discounted total for those attending all sessions.
